With the DROID DNA, you get a 5.0-inch 1080p display with Android 4.1 goodness. Overall, the device is a true beast. However, despite its juice, the DROID DNA is still prone to software issues just like any other handset. If you’ve been experiencing software problems, the one thing that can usually fix them is a hard reset.
Just why would you want to reset your DROID DNA? The main reason is really to fix issues. You also may want to reset it if you or selling it or giving it to someone.
While the hard reset process doesn’t take that long it should be a last-ditch effort as it erases everything on your smartphone. Normally, I don’t erase my handset until nothing else works to fix it.
To factory reset your HTC DROID DNA, follow the steps below:
- Go to the Settings app.
- In the Settings app, tap Backup and Reset.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Reset phone.
- Follow the on-screen instructions and select Reset phone and then Erase all data.
- Confirm this is what you actually want to do.
- Your DROID DNA will now factory reset and reboot.
